Linda
Nestled in the countryside, this hotel offers a charming and secluded escape for a romantic getaway. The rooms are impressively spacious and feature stunning views of the surrounding landscape. It’s convenient that the hotel is located close to a nearby castle and to the town, allowing for easy day trips around the area.
There is no restaurant on site and limited dining options nearby, which can be a bit of a drawback. while the building appears to be an old, renovated building, it’s actually newly built with some finishing that can make it feel a bit inauthentic.

Nice village location, friendly staff & clean rooms
The hotel is located in a charming village surrounded by hills and a lot of greenery. The staff is very helpful and the rooms are spacious and clean.
There are some drawbacks to this hotel. There are no on-site restaurants, so you have to bring your own food.

This hotel is located in the countryside next to a small castle, offering a peaceful and secluded atmosphere. The rooms are clean and the interiors have a charming old style. The staff is friendly and helpful, providing a warm welcome to the guests. the hotel has a swimming pool for relaxation.
The hotel lacks in terms of service, as there were instances where there was no one available at the reception during arrival and no information was provided about the facilities.

We were met with a huge welcome. Very friendly and helpful. peacful location and the hotel has a pool outside. The hotel didnt serve dinner but they recommended an auberge back on the main road which served delicious food at low cost 16euro for 3 course meal. The hotel gave us a free bottle of wine upon checkout after our 3 night stay which was a nice touch! WIFI worked great in reception area and was free. Sunny terrace and lovely grounds for sitting out with a glass of wine. Highly recommended for relaxing quiet location away from the town.
no fresh fruit at breakfast. The bed wasnt comfortable for us (not firm enough). No shower curtain around the bath/shower which meant the floor became wet and slippy. Problem finding hotel, not signposted in the village.

Newly constructed rooms with plenty of space. Chateau/park surroundings peaceful and ideal for a walking or touring holiday around the area. Pleasant lounge and good bufftet breakfast with self-service also for coffee -- important for coffeeholics who tire of having -- in far too many hotels -- to have to constantly catch servers eye to ask for refills.
We were in the region mainly to visit Arbois, and the Sequoia is some 8 kms away, off a very winding road up into the hills. But to be fair the hotel did not hide the distance from the town. We were disappointed not to be able to dine at the hotel -- it was fully booked when we arrived and we were told, politely, we should have booked in advance. To be fair again, the problem was in the review on the Booked.net site which suggested that there was no permanent restaurant. The hotel receptionist said they had tried to get the site to make clear that this was not the case but had had no success.

The hotel was set in the country side and finding it proved difficult, however once we located it we were pleased by the approach along the drive next to the chateau. The wood paneling gave it an alpine feeling inside.
We were asked to pay when we checked in and decide if we would be eating the evening meal. There was not a choice of dishes so we decided to use the local resteaurant we had passed on our way. This was the best move we made as it was a brilliant evening.

Peaceful location - comfortable bedroom and general sitting areas attractively furnished. Enjoyed the use of the outdoor swimming pool.
Poorly maintained grounds around the hotel - lack of notices to the hotel if approached from the Rue d'Ivory - lack of choice on the evening meal menu in the restaurant in the Chateau - no evening meal available in the Chateau restaurant on a sunday - overpriced breakfast

Quiet location, comfortable bed.
This is not a hotel, it's a b & B. No bar and no restaurant! Breakfast poor for 11 euros.
